I have read some news today, and its all about hacking. There have been a lot of hacking incidents lately throughout the world and its getting bigger and bigger.
An electronic spy network has been set up in China and it was called GhostNet. It had infiltrated around 1300 computers in 100 countries. Most of the hacked computers were owners of ministries and embasies. The biggest hit was linked through the Tibetan spiritual leader, Dalai Lama.
Researchers also found that ministries of foreign affairs of Iran, Bangladesh, Latvia, Indonesia, Philippines, Brunei, Barbados and Bhutan appear to had been targeted. Hacked systems were also discovered in the embassies of countries including India, South Korea, Indonesia, Romania, Cyprus, Thailand, Germany and Pakistan.
Analysts say the attacks are in effect industrial espionage, with hackers showing an interest in the activities of lawmakers and major companies.
They say they believe the system, which they called GhostNet, was focused on governments in Asia. By installing malware on compromised computers, hackers were able to take control of them to send and receive classified data.
There is no conclusive evidence China’s government was behind it, researchers say. Beijing also denied involvement.
Two months have already passed since my baby boy Mahriuz was born. It was just like yesterday he was just a small crying, eating, sleeping baby to a big, eating a lot more, sleeping a lot more, with a lot of smiles now and a little less bit of crying.
He is growing fast. He doesnt want to sleep in his crib anymore, he likes sleeping with us, he loves to sleep on his belly which is too early and he wants to be carried up straight. He cries and always wants our attention. Its just normal baby habit though.
Again here we are with the American Idol Season 8, now with the top 10 studio performances download. In this performances the finalist sang songs from the great artist Mo Town. Adam Lambert looked different in this weeks performance. He looked like Elvis. From last week’s recap Alison Grace was voted out.
One of the strong countries of the world namely China blocked its internet access to the very popular site for streaming videos YouTube.
According to this article from PC World:
China appears to be blocking all access to YouTube. Now, why in the world would it do something like that? I’ve got some theories.
First, though, the facts: YouTube use from China started dropping off the map sometime Monday night, with traffic nearly reaching a standstill by Tuesday morning. Google (which owns YouTube) has confirmed the apparent ban, though its staff is not certain of the cause.
“We do not know the reason for the blockage, and we’re working as quickly as possible to restore access to our users in China,” a spokesperson says.
Google does believe the Chinese government knowingly cut the access. The spokesperson, however, questions why officials wouldn’t have just blocked a specific video, as they’ve done before, rather than nixing the entire site.
I have seen a lot of videos on youtube that were uploaded from China. Having the site being blocked must have been a big dismay to some users. Not to mention how large the population of China is. Not only that, many video’s from YouTube are educational, you can learn some new tips and tricks from the site, as simple boiling an egg to folding clothes, from washing the dishes to cleaning the house. Too bad its what the law said.
I have written an article about upcoming movies for 2009 and now I have made an article for PC games which is coming out this 2009. The games listed are from my own point of view are some recommended games to watch out for this year.
Title: Empire: Total War
A game from SEGA and based from the Total War series. Empire: Total War is a Real-Time-Strategy game on which you conquer lands, countries, continents, and even the whole world.
Title: Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X.
Modern flight sim game. This game cam from Ubisoft. If you have played Ghost Recon you may have called for an ultimate air strike. But in this game you are the one doing the air strikes. A lot of dogfights in this game. Don’t miss it.
Title: The Last Remnant
There weren’t much games from Square Enix for the PC. Especially in the RPG-RTS genre. But now we have one, and a good one too. This game has so many battles that it would take an hour to finish one. Addictive to some but still it depends on the player.
Strategy game from Stardock, the makers of Sins of the Solar Empire and Galactic Civilizations. This game is pure RTS in long terms; Like most RTS there is the building and gathering of resources. In Demigod it doesn’t have those, instead you control a demigod to wreck havoc for you.
Title: Diablo III
Long in the making but will it worth the wait? From the game veterans and makers of Starcraft comes the third set of the Diablo series. More better, badder and bloodier than ever. There’s not much to say about this game because you already know it.
Title: Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor
Real-Time-Strategy games are on the rise here. Yet another one; Company of Heroes series. THQ-Relic made another addictive world war II game. This will be a stand alone version as Opposing Fronts did when it came out.
Title: The Godfather II
This one looks a way lot different from the first Godfather game. Game from EA, the game was supposed to have been out by now but due to some fixes it was postponed. You now can control areas here, you have an eagle eye view of the map called the “Don’s view”. You can assign a family member to do his own job and kill them if ever they turn their backs on you. Highly recommended indeed.
Title: The Sims 3
EA again gives us the game which they say is the most successful in its franchise. The Sims 3, just like The Godfather II, this game was postponed for fixes and polishings. It should have came out this February. If Sims 2 had to load when you go out your lot, this game will not. Once you get out of your crib its already hello town (or world). You can explore it in one a whole. Better AI and more perks. The ultimate game you must not miss.
Title: Max Payne 3
Rockstar Games proudly present: Max Payne 3. The game that already had 2 titles and had been adopted to the big screen. Max Payne 3 will come out this winter hopefully, and the story will still be on the Max, the badass cop with lots of demons sorounding him. He will look older now of course and he is already retired from his NYPD job. Can’t wait to see this.
You may have noticed that most of the games are part 2 and part 3’s which makes it more improved to please (or not) gamers. Don’t miss them. You won’t regret it.
Max Payne 1 2001, Max Payne 2 2003, and now after 6 years a Max Payne 3 has be announced from one of the best gaming company the world has ever known “ROCKSTAR GAMES“. One of the best especially those Grand Theft Auto Series.
The story of the game will still be— on Max Payne himself, but by this third part he will now be retired from his police duty from the NYPD. He will even look older and more cynical as they say due to his internal demons that corrupt him. Maybe this game will be more bloody than the past Max Payne’s.
I hope this game rocks just like its counterpart Max Payne 1 and 2. I loved those games, especially the bullet time effects, which where it all started. The series was even adapted to the movies which Max Payne was acted out by Mark Wahlberg just last year.
The game is coming out in winter this year. It is still a long wait for us though. But I guarantee this game will be better and it will kick a** for sure. We all know Rockstar Games won’t let us down.
MANILA, Philippines – Popular Ludy’s peanut butter has joined the list of local peanut butter products contaminated with salmonella, reports said today.
The Bureau of Food and Drugs had earlier ordered the recall of Yummy Sweet and Creamy Peanut Spread with batch numbers 3040905 and 11240810, and expiry dates 90409 and 52409 for salmonella contamination.
Salmonella is a known disease-causing organism. Among the illnesses it can bring are typhoid and paratyphoid fevers, and diarrhea. – By Dino Maragay (Philstar News Service, http://www.philstar.com)
There were reports of peanut butter having salmonella before. I watched them on the television, I heard them on the radio, I even heard them from grocery stores and even inside our home. It wasn’t a big deal for me though I am not a fan of peanut butters. It just struck me to post this article due to, one of our own products made here from the Philippines contained salmonella. Becareful on what you eat.
