Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Episode No. 1
The new Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood has already been released in Japan yesterday. This is a remake from the old version due to not following the second half of the story which is originally in manga. The first half of the original Fullmetal Alchemist was based on the manga. But after getting to the second half the story was different.
Plot Summary:
After losing their mother, Alphonse and Edward Elric attempt to bring her back using the forbidden science of human alchemy. However, alchemy operates on the theory of equivalent trade, and breaking the human alchemy taboo carries a heavy price. Ed loses his leg, and Al loses his body. Ed is able to seal Al’s soul inside of a huge suit of armor, at the cost of his arm. Years later, Ed (now with two mechanical limbs) and Al (still trapped in the armor) leave their childhood home, each brother concerned with the other’s happiness. Ed, who has a natural talent and skill for alchemy, becomes nationally certified and is soon known everywhere as the “Fullmetal Alchemist.” Their true objective is to search for any information on the fabled Philosopher’s Stone, hoping it will allow them to regain their old bodies. All of their hopes rest with this mythical stone, which may not even exist at all. However, the brothers soon learn that they are not the only ones after the powerful stone.

I love Fullmetal Alchemist and I have started a topic about it and state out a summary of what happened on the current episode that will be released.
If you have watch the original Fullmetal Alchemist which aired from October 2003 – October 2004. Remembering the first two episodes were a bit ahead from the beginning of all the things that had happened in the story. As well as the remake the first episode got ahead of the main story. On to Episode No. 1

The episode starts with the so called “Ice Alchemist” drawing transmutation circles around the city. The Elric brothers are instantly on the pursuit and face of with the Ice Alchemist in order to capture him. They succeded but only to escape again. The brothers then where lectured by Colonel Mustang that they shouldn’t have under estimated the Ice Alchemist.This is where they learned that the Ice Alchemist’s real name is Isaac McDougall, a former state alchemist who participated in the Ishbal war before but had given up his state alchemist title and had joined an anti-government movement. After being lectured Major Hughes shows up and for the first times meets the Elric brothers. He invited them to stay at their house and to let the brother meet his wife Gracia and daughter Elicia. The Ice Alchemist then broke into the central prison to try to recruit a man named Kimblee who is also a former state alchemist with the “Crimson Alchemist” and in the end failed to do so.

The the next day town was in full alert due to the incident and state alchemist’s Major Armstrong and Colonel Mustang moved into action to take down the Ice Alchemist. Major Armstrong found out where the Ice Alchemist is and had a short battle which triggered a comotion to which the Elric brothers heard and went to the incident. They try to capture him but had escaped again. He returned at night which the Elric brothers predicted and face off. He didn’t run away this time, and he activated one of the transmutation circles which he had drawn all over the city. A chain reaction occured triggering all the other circles. The Elric Brothers realize that Ice Alchemist is trying to destroy headquarters. They go after him while the others destroy the transmutation circles. The brothers climb the block of ice and they fight with the Ice Alchemist. While fighting the Ice Alchemist manage to hit of Alphonse head and it had been removed, seeing that the armor is hollow and had no body inside of it, he now knew that the Elric Brothers had performed the greatest taboo of alchemy which is human transmutation. Edward got mad and beat up the Ice Alchemist off the ice block. Battered and bruised the Ice Alchemist had to escape again into a dark alley, where he faces of with the Fuhrer. The Fuhrer takes the Ice Alchemist out in one swift blow and by the time the Elric brothers got there it was all over.
After the event Homunculus Lust is talking to someone about what happened to the Ice Alchemist. She believed that the Ice Alchemist overused the power of the Philosophers stone that’s why he ended up dead. Her last words in the episodes were “Everything is fine in Lior, it shall start anytime”.

The next episode will start from the very beginning of the story, where they were born and how the Elric brothers commited the human transmutation taboo and why did they do it in the first place and where they did it and what happened to them afterwards.

ive never seen any episodes or anything from this series. I think theres like 250+ episodes so I never started, I figured unless I had time to knock out 6 or 7 episodes a day i would never catch up >_>
The first anime series had only 51 episodes, and had one movie. This remake can or maybe reach a hundred plus episodes. I read that they will follow the whole storyline from the manga now, not like the first series which went onto a different story.
